The project aim is to implement ecological
systems and promote sustainable development
without foregoing modern living standards and
demands. The eco initiatives will be at the
forefront of latest technology, the
intention is to implement as many sustainable
development initiatives as possible.
TARIFA NATURAL SL will promote as
many cultural and sporting activities as possible.
The project land has remained natural for
centuries with approximately 50% cleared to support farming
activities in the last century with limited construction which
has supported the farming activities. The project intention is to
maintain the natural ambience by creating a development
which complements the landscape and limits disruption.
The following sustainable development initiatives are planned to be included:
Ecological construction methods:
- lightweight buildings
- lightweight composite walls
- insulation (double glazed windows and doors)
- lightweight insular roofing
- hot water solar systems incorporated in roof
- water collection from roofs
- water regeneration sewerage systems
- tidal systems for power generation
- car free environment
- re-generation of vegetation (using local species)
- narrow road network to maintain pristine natural ambience of the complex
- maintain the waterfront
- create facilities to assist in the research of environmentally friendly eco systems
